About Us

We are a small family breeder of Australian Shepherds of all sizes. All of our dogs live in our home and most of them sleep in our beds. We love our dogs dearly and treat them as the family they are. We also enjoy occasionally competing in dog shows with our pack.

We have sought out and obtained dogs that are attractive, intelligent, and conformationally correct per the breed standard. We believe that the temperament of our puppies is as important as their health, appearance, and abilities. All of our breeding dogs have been genetically tested and paired accordingly. 

Our pack is fed with the utmost nutrition in mind. We train, socialize, and exercise our dogs daily to make for healthy, happy, mentally stimulated dogs that are loved beyond words.

Hi! I’m Krys, the breeder behind Grace Oaks Aussies. My program was named after my first two Aussies, Gracie and Oakley. 

I was fortunate enough to be born into an animal loving family. My entire family has pets of all kinds but we all have a special connection with dogs specifically. 

After losing our beloved cocker spaniel of 14 years, I began to search for a dog to fill that void of happiness that dogs tend to bring to our lives. I started researching breeds that had the qualities and characteristics I was looking for. Every search I made seemed to come back to the Australian Shepherd. I then started the search for a breeder that I could connect with. Once I found my breeder, I found the perfect pup. It was love at first sight. My Aussie brought me so much happiness and made my heart so full. I knew then that I wanted to bring that same joy to others by starting a breeding program. 

After years of research, gaining a complete understanding of the breed standard, learning by experience and soaking up the knowledge my peers and mentors were so kind to share with me, I began my journey of breeding Australian Shepherds and I couldn’t be happier with that decision. I absolutely adore this breed and hope to share that joy with others through the pups we now produce as a family here at Grace Oaks Aussies.
